The mind is a wonderful thing
Before I begin, a quick reminder for myself:
In fact, although the differences are sometimes subtle, each is created for a different purpose: a charm is worn to attract good luck; an amulet provides protection from danger; and a talisman is used to attract a particular benefit to its owner.
There I was this morning: making myself and amulet and thinking of all the things I wanted it to protect me from, when I suddenly realize I was singing “Hammertime” to myself.
Harm won’t be able to touch me.
Super moon chores
I don’t usually do anything during full moons: I find them exhausting. I’m pretty sure I accidentally set myself up as an automatic battery for my wards when I first set them up during a full moon. On the bright side: at least I don’t have to remind myself to reset my wards, because I’m sure I’d forget and they wouldn’t get done.
But this full moon I had acquired some new tarot decks and stone beads for intention bracelets in the past month, so I set those on the windowsill before bed.
And then an opossum snuck into my house through the pet door to snack on the cat’s kibble at 2am. This is the first opossum I’ve seen in my life. and it just looked really put upon by the dog barking in its face while it chilled in a corner of the living room—but the poor thing shook like a leaf when the cat tried to take a sniff.
So I wrangled the pets behind closed doors and shepherded our visitor back outside, where I watched him waddle in the moonlight towards the shadows.
